Tired, uninsulated brickwork
Before any work began, this single-storey S17 property had solid, uninsulated brick walls — cold to the touch in winter and looking tired and dated. Damp-proof base course fitted
First, a white EPS damp-proof base board is fixed along the bottom of the wall, and the aluminium base track sits on top of it. 150mm EPS insulation fixed
150mm EPS insulation boards were then mechanically fixed and adhesive-bonded across every elevation, laid in a staggered brick-bond pattern with tight joints. That unbroken layer of insulation — no gaps, no thermal bridges — is what delivers the warmth and the lower heating bills.
Detailed around every opening
Boards were carefully cut and bonded around every window, door, the bi-fold opening and the existing solar fixings. Getting the detailing right at reveals and junctions is what separates an EWI job that lasts decades from one that cracks or lets water in.

Finally, a flexible silicone topcoat in a clean off-white finish. Boiler flue extended to clear the render
